Q. What is the difference between Restylane® and muscle relaxant treatments?

A. Restylane® is a dermal filler containing hyaluronic acid used to replace lost volume and lift out lines and wrinkles, whereas muscle-relaxants are used to prevent forehead, frown and laughter lines forming. Often both treatments are used in combination to provide optimal results.

Q. How does Restylane work?

A. Restylane works by stimulating the production of collagen, which is responsible for skin structure and elasticity. The Restylane range has been created to work at different levels in your skin for lasting results, from improving skin tone and texture  with Restylane Vital Light to a non-surgical mid-face lift with Restylane Sub Q.

Q. Does it hurt?

A. No – there is a minimal discomfort. This is due to the application of local anaesthetic cream to the skin, as well as local anaesthetic being contained in the materials injected.

Hyperhidrosis

Sweating is a natural and necessary function to control body temperature. However, excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis) is an embarrassing condition that affects a surprisingly large number of people. Heavy perspiration in the armpit area is not only uncomfortable but also causes unsightly ‘damp patches’, leading to confidence problems and restricted choices in what to wear.

The condition is quickly and effectively treated using BOTOX® in the underarm area. A series of injections into both armpits will take less than half an hour to perform and will stop excessive sweating for around 6-9 months. With repeated treatments, the results last even longer.
